The real watersport enthusiast just has to spend at least one holiday in Friesland. After all, nowhere else can you find all the elements that will give you such a wonderful holiday. De Kuilart, located in the southwest corner of Friesland is without a doubt the perfect place for watersport.

This place has it all: lakes interconnected with picturesque winding waterways or straight canals; towns and villages full of culture and history such as Hindeloopen and Workum; and rural scenes featuring farmhouses and cows grazing in the meadows.
Moor your own boat at our well-equipped marina or make use of our many rental facilities - with or without sailing lessons.

All kinds of watersport available right at De Kuilart
De Kuilart offers a wide array of water sports from which to choose including sailing, boating and windsurfing. You can bring your own boat and moor it in our marina. But you can also rent various kinds of boats. If you've never sailed or windsurfed but would like to learn, you can take sailing or windsurfing lessons at De Kuilart that are given by certified instructors.

MARINA
The marina makes a fine home base for your sailing trips. It's located right in the Friesian lake district and it's also only 4 kilometres away from the IJsselmeer by taking the Johan Friso canal, passing under the Galamadammen bridge and going through the lock at Stavoren. De Kuilart's marina is qualified by the Royal Dutch Touring Club with 5 stars. This qualification is based not only on our wide comfortable quays and the outstanding sailing possibilities but also the facilities that include a boat crane, trailer ramp, watersport shop, fuel pumps, wastewater disposal facility, toilet facilities, and electricity and water connections at the quay.
And the fine restaurant and other facilities in 'it Skippershûs' offer our guests even more conveniences.

Short-stay mooring
De Kuilart has plenty of room for transients: 700 metres of quay are immediately available for mooring your boat. No port dues are charged until 5:00 p.m. if you make use of the restaurant and shopping facilities. From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., an overnight rate is charged that includes VAT and tourist tax.
